Highland Games Schedule for 2008
Note: This parade is fairly easy. There is one turn at the end of the route The Pipe Band will stop at several points along the route play a tune and then continue. In past parades, we were made very welcome; the people along the route were very happy to see us. (Rumor has it that everyone who attends is elegible for the Timothy Lally award).Contact the Post Color Sergeant for further information: Tim Cooke |
A change to the National S.A.M.S. annual membership dues went into effect June, 2004. The dues are now $25.00 per year. Read Rowena Williamson's letter to Tim Lally |

A record at Skagit Valley Games! We set a new record, for our post, during the Saturday opening ceremony at the Skagit Valley games. We carried flags, one more than last year. Thanks to all who took part on Saturday and or Sunday. A big thank you to Tim Cooke for a life saving effort. As Tim was leaving his hotel room on Saturday morning a fellow guest collapsed in the corridor. Tim rendered assistance and found the family of the other guest to let them know what had happened. The paramedics were called and the man taken to hospital. Later we found out that the man had suffered a heart attack but was recovering and expected to attend his sons wedding on the Sunday. Coincidentally the Ellrods and Mardi and I were staying at another hotel where the remaining family of the man were also staying. His ex-wife and daughter asked us to thank Tim again for them. Thanks Tim. At Enumclaw we will hold our AGM after the opening ceremony on Sunday. The main item on the agenda is the election of officers. This year we need to elect a Vice Commander and Color Sergeant. So if you want to hold an office here is your chance. See you at Enumclaw. Peter. |
